How long it lasts

Usually resolves with dose stabilization. Less common than nausea; about 24% of semaglutide users experience it.

What helps

•Same dietary adjustments as nausea — smaller, lower-fat meals
•If vomiting occurs within 30 minutes of eating, consider switching to liquids for a few hours
•Stay hydrated with small, frequent sips — electrolyte drinks can help
•Avoid strong food smells during the peak window if they trigger you
•Ask your provider about anti-nausea medication (ondansetron/Zofran is commonly prescribed)

Dose context

Vomiting is more common during initial dose escalation and tends to decrease substantially once you stabilize at a dose for 4+ weeks.
